MOVE OVER TPW MEDIA, THERE’S A NEW BUSINESS IN TOWN

WHAT’S IN A NAME . . . ?

I have always been TPW. My full name, Tessa Parry-Wingfield, is rather long-winded. It’s the antithesis of what I stand for as a copywriter. My mantra is: less is more. Be concise and succinct; ditch the waffle and get straight to the point.

And then there’s my company. It was TPW Media, when I was still a journalist. But now copywriting is centre of my career stage. So, please give a round of applause for my newly rebranded and renamed copywriting company - TPW: The Power of Words.

THE POWER OF WORDS

I often tell clients to harness the power of words: use them cleverly, and reap the rewards. The twentieth century poet Pearl Strachan Hurd said, “Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.” While my assignments are not usually belligerent in nature, it’s true that well-written campaigns – marketing materials, social media posts or press releases etc – can bring in the big bucks.

MY USP: IT’S ALL ABOUT STORYTELLING

Many copywriters come from an advertising background. That’s great. They know how to sell. I am a journalist and a storyteller. I tell your story to sell your story to your target audience. I bring your messages to life and entice potential customers with tone of voice and a creative narrative – whether it’s for a blog, a brochure, a website or an article.

SHAMELESS PR

I’m not into shameless PR or puff. I always warn clients not to be too ‘in-your-face’ when it comes to marketing with words. But if there’s ever a chance to blow my own trumpet, it’s now. I’ve written for big names like Save the Children, Bell Pottinger and Experian. So do visit The Power of Words website, get in touch, and we can chat about how I can help transform your company’s copy – and the way you sell yourself – with words.
